DAY: We landed in New York, got to our hotel in Gramercy Park and we're famished. So, of course, my family and I went to the nearest burger place, Schnippers'. It has a very old-style vibe, but manages to remain trendy and seems to be continuously full of traffic. They make a mean burger and an even better milkshake.

NIGHT: That night we went out for dinner at Beauty and Essex, an amazingly cool resto, that seems to be a general store before security lets you into the secret door way into the restaurant. They play great music, they have a tangible atmosphere and they make delicious food.
